Discover the doors of Estaque in Sausset-les-Pins, this part of the Mediterranean, the Blue Coast is composed of several small fishing ports and protected bathing sites (Carry-le-Rouet, Carro, La Couronne, creeks Niolon of La Redonne and Gignac) about twenty kilometers. It offers landscapes of scented pine forests, herbs of Provence, cliffs and the deep blue sea. Carro is a fishing village, frequently visited mainly by locals, the Blue Coast is a small hidden paradise west of Marseille, which is comparable to its neighbouring blue so you can breathe in the nature and Provence. Open seasonally and available for fishing.
Carro a lovely little fishing port still operating close to Martigues. Its fish market, popular in the region, is a feast for the eyes and taste buds. The beach of Carro, located near the port, is half sand half pebble, not very big but enough to accommodate families and surfers who come when the winds allow, face some waves in its waters.
This typical fishing port, still active, with a market which offers fish daily. Unless after heavy seas, fishermen sell their fish in Carro between 8.30 and 12am.
Loup, beaudroie, bream, squid, rock fish for the bouillabaisse, find everything here which is fresh and full of colour and accent. Its restaurants have an inventive cuisine inspired by the sea and traditional Provencal recipes and will welcome you with a smile.
This natural area has preserved creeks, hills and scrubland and is an unrecognized gem for tourists which is worth a detour.
It is also an excellent diving spot, on many corners of the Blue Coast, but particularity, at Baou Tailla. An ancient quarry, at water, which allows the diving board and the fans who can borrow a siphon to enjoy the delights of the day.
