Guided tour of the city of Aix, walk in the footsteps of Cézanne. A hiking trail marked by stamped nails “C” takes you to the birthplace of the painter where he lived in 1839, in the heart of the city at 28 rue Opera, you will then continue by the Mignet College where he befriended Zola, to the last address 23 Boulegon Street. You will also visit the cemetery Saint-Pierre, a listed building, where he was buried in 1908.

Visit the Bastide du Jas de Bouffan: Property of the family of Cezanne for 40 years. The living workshop whose walls display the early works of the famous painter, including his last piece of work “The shed Jourdan”. You will discover a multimedia creation on the walls the works of Cézanne.

In Aix en Provence, visit the museum of the Workshop Lauves, the Cézanne paint shop: from the early 20th century, Cézanne moved into this studio in the country (which is now in the same city). He worked there the last years of his life there and created his last paintings here. This is where you will feel with more intensity the presence of the painter. Visit the land of painters and its breath-taking view of the mountain Ste Victoire, his most famous paintings were painted around this wonderful panorama.

Lunch at The Beaureceuil table, a restaurant frequented visited by Cezanne in the era of his early paintings, become gourmet restaurant.
