Arrival in Marseille.

Marseille, founded in 600 BC by Greek Phocaean sailors, is the oldest French city, the Most Complex and the most endearing.

Marseille is a generous south European and cosmopolitan capital, with a picturesque old port, with bouillabaisse and folklore.

The City Pass allows you to discover the old neighbourhoods (The Shopping area located near the Old Port), the Abbey St Victor and its surrounding neighbourhood, Notre Dame de la Garde (travel by the little train from Marseille).

Our Lady of GARDE  saint of sailors enthroned at 162m above the sea watches over the city.

Your City Pass allows you to access free and unlimited travel in the public transport network (tram, bus, Metro). This also includes the ferry boat trip to Chateau d’If which is featured in the legendary novel: The count of Monte Cristo.

You are invited to taste the typical biscuits from the oldest bakery of Marseille.

(The exit by boat to the castle of yew and its legend, the little being Notre Dame de la Garde …)

Many cultural visits are included in the CITY PASS (the boat trip to the Château d’If and the legend of the Count of Monte Cristo, the little Train of Notre Dame de la Garde, entrance to museums) Many discounts are also included. Free tasting biscuits in The Oldest bakery in Marseille, Four Shuttles. If visiting the Chateau d’If is not possible, it will be replaced by a boat trip to the island of Friuli. Departure from Marseille to Cassis.

Marseille to Cassis is almost 20 km of marked trails, creeks and limestone cliffs that plunge into the Mediterranean. The site extends over 4,000 hectares. Discover Cassis and the Magical and enchanting coves which are a paradise for scuba diving, climbing, discovering the fauna and flora…

CThe boat tour of the creeks start from the picturesque little port of Cassis, situated at the geographic heart of the Calanques National Park. This offers you the best starting point to discover the very famous Calanques of Cassis and Marseille. You can access the deep creeks of Port Pin and En Vau and admire the transparency of its turquoise waters and its white jagged cliffs.

Mythical city of the painter Paul Cézanne, who painted many paintings in the Aix countryside, you will walk in the heart of the country market with aromas of fragrant fresh herbs, sun ripened tomatoes, garlic, olive oil.

Departure from Marseille to Avignon.

Discover Avignon. The old town and the Palace of the Popes, famous worldwide for being the capital of the papacy from 1309 to 1376. Avignon is proud of its impressive Papal Palace, residence of the Popes and the centre of Catholic power for nearly a century.  Here you can visit churches, chapels, monastery and mansions, secured by a ring of ramparts.

Discover the City of Popes with its 4 marked walks (the Promenade des Doms, the promenade Joseph Vernet, the walk of the Dyers, the promenade of the Carreterie) which allow you to discover the attractions of the city, churches, chapels, the old streets and mansions.

Discover the old Avignon behind the Palace of the Popes, the famous wine bar “La Vache Checked ”with its XVI th century wine cellar.

North of Avignon, are the wines of the Cotes du Rhone.  Known in the US as in Japan or China, the wine Châteauneuf-du-Pape has character. On the old papal territory, winemakers have shaped the land in their own special way to make the best varieties, the Clos des Papes is a historical land!  Allow yourself to go to the tasting of Chateauneuf du Pape areas (optional).

Between the Alps and the Mediterranean, the Luberon offers luminous landscapes and many hilltop villages connected by pretty little country roads. Discover Apt the capital of candied fruits, visit a factory of candied fruit.

Arriving in Gordes, be impressed by the imposing grandeur of the castle and the church overlooking the village. The village of Bories with its sheep barns, bread ovens, wine vats, threshing wheat, alleyways, enclosures and surrounding walls, reflect the painstaking work of countless generations in 3000 years.

Roussillon is one of the most beautiful villages in Provence. This magical village is like a painter’s palette, infinite colour combinations vary from yellow to the darkest purple through to all shades of pink and red. Many artists have naturally been seduced by Roussillon : Jean Cocteau, Carzou, Buffet, Ambrogiani and many more … The village of Fontaine de Vaucluse, offers a gigantic fountain,  with its impressive natural spring that flows at the foot a 230m high cliff, the most powerful in France (and the world’s fifth).  The emerald green waters usually calm during summer become spectacular in the flood period (fall and spring), the beauty of the green banks gives a real delight for walkers who are rediscovering the wheel grinders.

L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and its canals, achieved international fame through the many antique shops (open especially on weekends) and the many art galleries and paintings. Twice a year, at Easter and on August 15th more than 500 antique shops give themselves go here to present their treasures to a customer coming from the 4 corners of the world…
