DAY 1: ARRIVAL AVIGNON OR MARSEILLE

Discover the city of Avignon. An important city in the 12th century, thanks to the Pont d’Avignon. With the arrival of the Popes, the papal city attracts foreigners, religious, artists, merchants and bankers.  Avignon is famous for the Palace of the Popes, the largest Gothic palace in Europe and the vey well known Benezet Bridge, classified World Heritage by UNESCO. You will enjoy discovering the City of Popes4 signposted walks (the Promenade des Doms, the promenade Joseph Vernet, the walk of the Dyers, the promenade of the Carreterie) which allows you to discover the attractions of the city: the churches, the chapels, the old streets and private hotels. Discover the old Avignon behind the castle of the Popes in Avignon’s famous wine bar “Cow Checked ”with its wine cellar from the 16th century. North of Avignon, wines of the Côtes du Rhône are well known in the United States as well as in Japan and China.

DAY 2: MONTMIAIL – MOUNT VENTOUX – THE MEDIAL HILLTOPS VILLAGES

DAY  3:  GORGES OF ARDECHE – PONT DU GARD-NIMES

At Orange you arrive on the set of land with lavender fields and vineyards. You will discover the Ardeche River rushing through a gap which cuts into the limestone plateau. The gorges of Ardeche are over 300 meters high and it is one of the most beautiful sights in the South of France. Admire the natural arch of Pont d’Arc where the scenery is breathtaking. You will leave the gorges of Ardeche to join another river, the Gardon which was built on the basis one of the most popular books in the world, the symbol of power of the Roman Empire: the Pont du Gard is most important Roman aqueduct in the world, 49 meters high and carries the water sources in Nimes .Nîmes is the city where the Romans settled and it remains a beautiful testimony: The well-preserved arenas hold annually Pentecost Feria with bullfights - Visit the main monuments Maison Carree, the Arena, The Garden of the Fountain, the Tour of Magne, the remains of walls dating from  the pre-roman time period.

DAY 4: THE CAMARGUE – ST MARIE OF THE SEA- ARLES

With its vast wilderness, the Camargue is a unique paradise of bulls, white Camargue horses, and migratory birds, including the flamingo which is the symbol of the Camargue. You will cross the Petite Camargue to arrive at Saintes Maries de la Mer with its fortress church that contains the relics of the Saints. According to legend, the shore once welcomed at the dawn of the Christianity Marie Jacobi, Marie Salomé and their black servant Sara, persecuted Christians escaping from Palestine on a boat without a rudder. Two great pilgrimages take place each year including gypsies, which is very festive, colourful and lively, people come from all over Europe. Then you will discover the Camargue Wild to visit the bird park, Pont de Gau to discover the thousands of wild birds that nest in Camargue. You will pass through rice fields to join Arles, capital of the Camargue. Arles la Romainevisit the Arena, the ancient theatre, the Alyscamps, the church and Lecloitre St Trophime, a masterpiece of Romanesque Provence.

DAY 5: THE ALPILLES – ST REMY OF PROVENCE

You will visit Tarascon which has a rich cultural heritage: the medieval castle of King René, stands on the banks of the Rhone and is one of the finest medieval castles in France. The Church of St. Martha, houses the relics of the Saint. Provençal Christian tradition recounts that Martha, Mary Magdalene, Lazarus and other saints (as well as fourteen bishops), thrown on a boat without sails or oars in Palestine would have landed in Marseille circa 48. Martha went up the Rhône and arrived in Tarascon where there was a monster, his den was near the river: the Tarasque. Saint Martha captured the beast and led the people to destroy it and convert to a new religion. She settled in Tarascon and died there in the year of 68.  Tarascon houses the museum of the famous Souleïado tissue. You will reach Fontvieille where you will climb to the mill of Alphonse Daudet which has stunning views of the Alpilles and Montmajour Abbey, before reaching the Baux a stone fortress that dominates the valley of olive groves and vineyards. Visit the village of Les Baux and its picturesque alleys, White Penitents chapel, St. Vincent and the grounds of the church. Castle tour of an oil mill, tasting can be done, you will visit Saint Rémy de Provencethe Antiques that stand near the ancient city of Glanum: the Arc de Triomphe, city gate which symbolizes the victory of Rome to Gaul and the Mausoleum, the only Roman monument of its kind in Europe. Discover the city of St Rémy, with its shady squares, fountains and old streets full of charm.

DAY 6: HILLTOPS MEDIEVAL VILLAGES -LUBERON NATIONAL PARK-

You will exit towards St Rémy Fontaine de Vaucluse, made ​​famous by the fountain and the caves from which springs the mysterious Sorgue situated at the foot of a steep cliff 230 meters high. The poet Petrarch lived here for many years. Be sure to visit the Romanesque church St Veran. This resurgence is the largest in the world, it has a rate that can exceed 100 m per second during high water. Visit the abbey of Sénanque. Austerity and aesthetics characterize this Cistercian abbey. Then you get to Gordes where you can discover this beautiful village with the discovery of Bories, then Roussillon built on a rocky outcrop, this village with ocher facades is surrounded by quarries and ocher cliffs ranging from yellow to red. Visit the “Colorado” an extensive career site (now abandoned) which was extracted ocre. From Loumarin you will go through the Durance River and Aix Region, where there are plenty of fountains , plenty of vineyards and it is where you will able to visit many typical villages and flower gardens. Aix en Provence: visit Mazarin area, Cours Mirabeau and fountains, the medieval town around the Cathedral Saint Saviour and the numerous shaded places that make up its charm, Aix en Provence is an open history book. Visit Workshop of Cezanne, Continuation to the Montagne Sainte Victoire where the painter Cézanne repeatedly put his easel through the typical path of Tholonet St Antonin.

Marseille founded in 600 BC by Greek sailors from Phocaea, is the oldest French city, and is the most complex and the most endearing. Marseille is the capital of a generous and cosmopolitan south with an accent, a picturesque old port, bouillabaisse and folklore. Unknown, it does not spontaneously offer the visitor its history, we can help you to discover it.  Discover the city of contrast with old neighbourhoods, visit the cart near the old harbour ,  visit the abbey of St. Victor and the surrounding neighbourhood, use the travel of the city, visit the Basilica of Our Lady of GARDE (little blue train or city vision), patron saint of sailors enthroned at 162m above the sea watches over the city.
